So here's to being a professional cake decoator for one year!! Actually the one-year mark is July 13th, but who doesn't like celebrating early? I just ordered some fly-ass business cards to make it official, too, since customers keep asking for one. Here's what I've been up to:

This was for an engagment party, so technically, literally my FIRST wedding cake! Huzzah!!

With the Head Decorator gone on vacation for ten days, I've already had a long week!! It has been nuts, and it will only get crazier next weekend on the first, second and third day of the new month, PLUS Fourth of July, geewhiz. Better rest up since it's my day off!

Summer Time in the City

Of course it's been a while, I was off my medicine for about seven days and what a trip, I hate doing that because for days I feel so weird and off balance. But thank God I was able to refill the prescription and get back to normal in no time. In the meantime though, I've been extremly productive at work, as well as art work for my self. Seth and I took in a roommate for a month or so and he was able to do some pro bono work on us, and helped us out around the abode. Here is some stuff that's been going on:

It's been a minute

It's Saturday. Last Saturday I went out with my girl Britany, it was bliss. Kareoke at Louie's until 2am, what a blast. But this weekend I have a chest cold and I believe she is on a date with a co-worker of mine, woo. So I came home, with a ride from O, and found my DH asleep on the couch. I guess after being eyed all afternoon I wanted a little more attention tonight.

I've been busy at work, of course. Graduation, Mother's Day, Easter just passed. I did some bunny repair for the Easter display.

Broke, but ...

It's been a busy week at the bakery, since the first of the month. I was able to do a couple of really custom cakes this week, and hopefully I'll have repeat customers! I made a couple wrap cakes, dipped strawberries and bunny cars for the gourmet case yesterday. I'm off today, and Seth called in to work, he wasn't feeling well this morning. We're spending the day being lazy and watching movies, starting with Toy Story III, then maybe a couple episodes of  Glee, i just started that show and it's great!! Then maybe we'll watch another couple movies before the day is over. I guess the only thing I really need to do today is play with the animals and load some of these pictures...

This customer bought all of the toys at a consignment sale and I designed Andy's bed from the first movie to accommodate them all!
